SYC Self-Reporting Hours for Club Maintenance\Activities

SYC runs as a self-help club, we strive for each member to have a sense of belonging and pride while spending time at SYC. To help keep membership costs reasonable, we ask for members to do work around the club throughout the season.  You can participate in formalized work party invitations or as a self-reporting feature within the website.

Some examples of activities include flower bed care, clearing of brush along the laneway and keeping the gate clean, hedge trimming, seaweed removal from the beach, and weed maintenance from the bay. Spring clean-up at Clubhouse to open, cleaning screen in porch.  This is a small list of needs to keep our club and grounds in good condition. Self-reporting will help your board formulate a checklist that will be used to ensure we understand all the behind-the-scenes work that is not captured and give credit to those who complete meeting their membership contribution as per the stated policy.
